U.S. stock futures were wavering early Monday to kick off a busy week featuring both the presidential election and a Federal Reserve monetary-policy meeting. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were down 3 points, or less than 0.1%. S&P 500 futures were climbing 0.1%, while Nasdaq 100 futures were down 0.1%.
Yesterday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released the official October Jobs Report – and it was a dud. The U.S. economy added just 12,000 jobs last month, versus expectations for 100,000 new jobs and far below the September total of 254,000 new jobs.
